This Course will demonstrate the basic knowledge required to recognize the presence of bloodborne pathogens and the precautions that can be taken to protect against them. The course meets requirements established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

This course has been approved as a four (4) hour course by the Tennessee Commission on Firefighting.


In this course you will learn the definition of a "critical incident” and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of critical incident stress
You will also learn the definition of Critical Incident Stress Management, its utility and limitations, what to expect when attending a defusing or debriefing and also internal mechanisms to survive an exposure to a critical incident.
